This is more about the renderings than the model itself.
The first two animated renderings are generated with Marmoset Toolbag v4.0, the other animated ones with "Elements 3D" in AfterEffects, while the still images rendered in Cinema4D.
Elements 3D turned out to be the fastest renderer (about 6 minutes for 250 frames at 1920x1080), Marmoset took about 7 minutes for a lower resolution (300 Frames at 960x540) and Cinema4D was at 4 minutes for a single Frame (1920x1080).
Thus, if it's just about speed, Elements3D may be the tool of choice, since it's a plugin for AfterEffects, necessary postprocessing can be applied in realtime.
Marmoset also looks quite good.
